Hayama's not your usual class bully. Instead of taking things personally, he just stands in the shadows, observing all the other boys doing pranks they think would please him. He manages to have teachers at his mercy too, since he's got an embarrassing photo of two of them that could put them in a difficult position. The classroom is always in chaos, while he just sits with his earphones on, listening to music.
Kurata Sana is the only person he doesn't dare to mess with, since he considers her an equal who could cause too much trouble. However, tired of the battlefield her class has become, Sana decides to stand before Hayama and try everything to end his dictatorship. But while she's at it, she can't help but be drawn onto the boy, and try to understand why he behaves like that.
Sana tries to get back at him by blackmailing Akito with a photo of him, but while she's spying near his home she finds out about his less-than-nice family. Either way, Akito ends his class ownership and becomes a lonely wolf, much to Sana's despair. When she asks what she can do to help him, he answers "kill me". Akito doesn't see the point in living and Sana is just too happyly optimistic for him. Sana is shocked by this revelation and cries for him.
Sana becomes entangled in Hayama's life and is decided to help him out in any way she can. Hayama, on the other hand, feels Sana's interference in his life already. She was the first person who cried for him, after all.
